In a bold venture to elevate the conventional concert experiences, REZZ, known for her hypnotic music and cult following, envisioned the Spiral Tour as an immersive journey into her unique sonic universe. The tour aimed to not only showcase her latest album, "Spiral," but also embrace her audience in a meticulously crafted audio-visual spectacle that mirrored the otherworldly vibe of her music.

Our role was to create animated content that captured the essence of REZZ's brand and amplified the anticipation for the tour. This collaboration was designed to seamlessly blend REZZ's innovative brand style with cutting-edge visual storytelling, setting the stage for her live experience.

With the REZZ Spiral Tour set to launch before the final stage production was approved, our team was initially equipped with only the tour poster, created by Eric Hallquist (@solidsoulart), to begin our work. This constraint necessitated a deep dive into the existing artwork, compelling us to extract and animate key visual elements that captured the tour's enigmatic and hypnotic essence.

Utilizing After Effects, we dissected the poster into layers, isolating each component to bring the static image to life. This process not only preserved the original art's intent but also expanded its narrative, setting a dynamic prelude to the live experience. Our animation aimed to seamlessly sync with REZZ's musical themes, ensuring that every transition and visual amplified the excitement and anticipations surrounding the tour.

This initial phase of animation was crucial in building momentum and interest, laying the foundation visuals that would later be expanded upon with more complex 3D animations as the final stage design was confirmed.

Following the approval of the final stage production design, our team transitioned from 2D animations to constructing a fully realized 3D representation of the tour stage.

Employing Cinema 4D, we meticulously built the stage to spec, incorporating and rigging the iconic spiral lighting and dynamic visual effects that are signature to REZZ's performances. Our 3D model showcased the stage's complex mechanics and animated these elements in sync with REZZ's music, creating a multi-layered sensory experience. This approach allowed us to simulate the live show's atmosphere, giving fans a preview that was as close to the real thing as digitally possible.
